Dog Training Policies

Working spots in regular weekly classes go to students who enroll for a full 6-week session first.  In the event there are still openings, working spots will be available on a “drop-in” basis at the cost of $35 per 1-hour class.  Pre-registration is required for “drop-in” spots to ensure there is space available.  Please email us to inquire about availability.

The cost for a 6-week session of weekly classes is $180.  Classes with over 4 dogs will last about 1 hour.  Classes with fewer than 4 dogs will last about 1/2 hour.  Classes will have no more than 7 dogs.

The cost for private training is $45 per 30 minute block at our facility in Franklin, MA or online.  We recommend scheduling 30 minutes per dog.  If our trainer needs to travel to you or a location other than our facility, a travel fee will apply.

If a class, clinic or workshop is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of The Dog’s PACE LLC, a credit for the cost of the event will be assigned to the student.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, the refund policy applies.

Inclement Weather

Safety is a top priority at The Dog’s PACE.  However, with students commuting to us from all over the region, it is impossible for us to say where road conditions are the worst.  We cancel based on the weather at our location in Franklin, MA.  The Dog’s PACE LLC leaves it up to the students to determine if travel conditions are safe for their personal travel.  Regardless of whether or not classes are canceled, please keep your and your dog’s safety in mind when making this decision.  The choice to commute or not is a personal one.

In light of current COVID-19 advisories, The Dog’s PACE LLC has taken all recommended precautions following the State and CDC recommendations.

The Dog’s PACE will announce cancellations on this website and the Follow They Nose Facebook page.  Cancellations will be made by:

  • 9 am for classes starting before 12 pm
  • 11 am for classes starting 12 pm – 5 pm
  • 3 pm for classes starting after 5 pm

Up to 14 days before the start of any class, clinic, intensive class, workshop, private lesson, or sniff through/mock trial, we will issue a full refund less a $10 processing fee.

No refunds will be issued less than 14 days prior to the start date.
